With over 2,000 hours of coaching experience and more than 1,700 students taught, Arturo combines high-level technical knowledge with a deep understanding of player development and performance strategy.

As the only coach in Canada certified in advanced pickleball analytics, Arturo uses data-driven match analysis to help players train smarter, compete better, and understand their game on a deeper level. Using cutting-edge sports analysis software, he transforms match footage into meaningful insights that improve strategy, decision-making, and overall performance.

Originally from a tennis background, Arturo discovered pickleball over six years ago and quickly became fully immersed in the sport. His transition from player to coach was fueled by a passion for understanding the game at its core—not just how to play, but why and how winning patterns happen.

His coaching philosophy is built around customized learning, strong technical fundamentals, strategic awareness, and adaptability. Arturo has developed and refined more than 110 proprietary drills and progressions, turning complex, high-level concepts into clear, practical lessons that players of all levels can apply immediately—whether they are new to pickleball or transitioning from another racquet sport.

A true student of the game, Arturo’s methodology is constantly evolving. He believes coaching should grow with the sport itself, not remain rooted in outdated systems. As pickleball continues to evolve rapidly, so does his approach—ensuring players receive modern, relevant, and effective instruction.

Arturo previously served as Head Coach at both MNP Community & Sport Centre and the University of Calgary, where he played a key role in building and shaping their pickleball programs.

His coaching style is clean, professional, and deeply analytical—grounded in the concept of zugzwang, where every move matters and intention drives performance.

At YYC Pickleball, Arturo is more than a coach—he is a visionary redefining how players learn, train, and compete in the game.
